Giant swimmer sculpture

Details:

Bias 2 were commissioned by CSM Essentially and their sister company ICON to help design and develop this giant floating sculpture of a swimmer to launch the 2013 PruHealth World Triathlon Grand Final on London’s Serpentine. Bias 2 were responsible for the creation of the sculptural form of the swimmer and the supply of the CAD data to allow for its manufacture. Weighing in at 300kg and with overall measurements of seven meters long and three meters high this impressive sculpture became the main backdrop to a world class, international event.

The swimmer was unveiled by Olympic gold medallist Jessica Ennis-Hill, following which over 8,500 triathletes swam past the huge sculpture over the five days of triathlon, including GB Olympic gold and bronze medalists Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee.
