‘Wishing well’ Microphone
The Google ‘Wishing Wall’ is an exciting new installation in the Barbican in London – The artwork was designed by Varvara Guljajeva and Mar Canet and looks at re-imagining how we share our innermost wishes with the world. What if you could say your wish out loud and have it magically released into the world for people to see? In this piece spoken words are transformed into a butterflies, that are diverse in form and colour as they represent the sentiment of the spoken words. The gallery visitors are invited to interact with the butterflies and discover released wishes. Bias 2 were commissioned to design a microphone form that would enhance this installation and were responsible for the Industrial Design, Ergonomic Design and Engineering Development of the microphone.
